Best Shears and Trim Gear for Trimming Marijuana

Throughout this article I will be explaining three different shear sets that I find very useful when it comes to handling marijuana.

The criteria I used to determine what ones I would recommend is based on comfortability, effectiveness, and price.

There are plenty of usable shears out there but in my personal opinion these are the ones that i felt had the most impact on the experience i had using them.

SUMYOUNG

First we will talk about the SUMYOUNG steel pruning shears set. This set is very nice. The blades are all very durable and stay in good condition for awhile.

I have been using this set for approximately three months and in that time these have become my personal favorite for a few reasons.

These are on the slightly smaller side which helps me not strain my hands as much during long pruning and trimming sessions. I find due to their soft yet durable grips I can trim for longer durations with my hand cramping up.

I am on the smaller side though for adults so keep that in mind when looking at these. Another reason why I love this kit is because it only includes the necessities.

I found that each tool in this kit  performed its job very smoothly and didn’t require me to put in extra effort to break through branches while allowing me to still apply a gentle touch to avoid disturbing the plant too much.

One of the more underrated features is the locks on them. I have nephews and keeping tools around brings me a lot of anxiety when they come to visit so just having that extra precaution helps ease my mind a bit.

This set also comes with a wipe rag which will help out with extending the life of your tools. Along with the others on this list the kit is very affordable.

On top of all that you can get a lifetime warranty as well as 24 customer service which is honestly a huge plus when you’re someone who frequently uses gardening tools.

KeShi

The next set I would like to bring up is the KeShi set. This set is a little bigger than the last one  but has the same feel.

I’d recommend this to anyone with medium to large hands. They are very comfortable and have solid  rubber grips.

I also felt like the shape of each handle worked very well with each tool. You can notice that all three tools have a different shape to combat the typical positions you normally would have to put  your hands in to prune and trim.

What makes this one stand out from the last is that the gardening scissors and pruner are angled blades. This helps  so much with the pruning because it allows you to reach tough spots without making your hands do any gymnastic tricks.

The blades are slightly longer than the last set allowing for longer cleaner cuts. As an added bonus this kit does come with a set of gardening gloves which i found to be pretty comfortable.

Kotto

The final set I would like to talk about is the Kotto 4 pack of shears and clippers. This is the largest of the three in terms of what you get.

I do feel that this one is a bit overkill if you are only using it for cannabis but if you like gardening in general and grow things like fruits, vegetables, and flowers this is a really nice kit for not much more than the others.

The grips are pretty standard and are pretty comfortable. These are very durable blades and handles.

Again each tool has a special handle for the specific tool to maintain comfortability. These do have a 30-day money back guarantee deal so you don’t have to worry if you don’t like them.

I’d recommend these to anyone that spends a lot of time gardening because it does bring in almost everything the other two brought and added in an extra branch clipper.
